Salvatore Ferragamo 1970's purple suede belt

A super soft 1970's purple suede belt by Salvatore Ferragamo. The belt has a large oval gold metal buckle that fastens in one of three holes. The inside of the belt is lined in black leather. This belt is in excellent condition with some signs of wear to the suede.

Salvatore Ferragamo was best known for his amazing shoes. He became known as the "shoemaker to the stars," after he moved from Naples to California to set up a shoes shop. He designed the shoes for movies, including the stilettos worn by Marilyn Monroe in 'Some Like it Hot', as well as for everyday wear. It was Ferragamo's daughter who created the first clothing line for the company in 1959.
