A rare 1950's diamante waterfall necklace by Castlecliff, as seen in the GHD 2010 campaign. The necklace is made up of two strings of round and baguette cut diamantes that fall in a v shape on the neckline. From the chain falls drops of more round cut diamante with tear drop shaped rhinestones hanging from each, creating varied lengths, getting longer towards the middle. The necklace fastens at the back with a hook, and the length can be varied depending on the neckline of the dress being worn. This necklace is in near mint condition and signed Castlecliff at the back.
Length: 47cm Length of drop: 8cm
The Castlecliff line of jewellery was introduced in 1945, and was originally known as castlemark. William Markle was the head designer and his pieces were inspired by the Gothic, Renaissance and Art Deco eras. He used materials such as faux pearls, colourful rhinestones, and diamante.
This necklace would add a touch of old Hollywood glamour to any outfit. Try adding it to black jumpsuit with a plunging neckline or wear it with a beautiful strapless gown and add some diamante drop earrings.
