Sonia Rykiel 1990's burgundy trousers

A pair of super chic pure wool tailored trousers by Sonia Rykiel from the 1990's. The fitted waistband sits on the waist and fastens with a double button and concealed zip. There is a pocket on each hip and an additional pocket at the back. A gold monogrammed charm hangs from the the right belt loop. The legs are wide but cut straight down with a crease down the front and back. The trousers are in near mint condition with little signs of wear.

In 1962 Sonia Rykiel created her first knitwear pieces in the form of sweaters and maternity dresses for her husbands boutique in Paris. In 1968 Rykiel opened her own company, designing clothes, which aimed to liberate women. She remains famous for her stunning knitwear pieces but recieves just as much accolade for her other timeless designs, which are still sold today.
Aim for Parisian chic in these beautifully cut trousers. Wear with a breton top tucked in and add a neck scarf for some extra colour. Alternatively, dress these trousers up with a silky pussy bow blouse and stacked heels, making them perfect for a day at the office or dinner out.
