A gorgeous 1970's white and black polka dot cocktail dress by Givenchy. The dress has a scooped round neckline and long sleeves that fasten at the cuff with a zip up the wrist. The skirt of the dress has an extra layer that is attaches to the waistband and wraps over, tying in a knot at the front of the waist. Five fabric-covered buttons fasten under the tie and poppers fasten along the waistband. The extra layer on the skirt gently drapes over the hips giving a ruched effect. The dress fastens up the back with a 34cm zip and is lined in silk. The dress is fitted over the bust, pulling in at the waist and skimming the hips to the mid thigh. This dress is in near mint condition.

In 1968, Givenchy started a ready-to-wear line, Givenchy Nouvelle Boutique and in the late 1970s, his Givenchy Sport line was widely worn on the Charlie's Angels TV program.
