A stunning 1960's navy blue dress coat by Joseph Magnin. The dress coat is made from a gorgeous navy satin. It has a v-neckline and double lapel collar. The dress fastens up the front with eight diamante buttons and a hook and eye on the waistline. The long sleeves are slim fitting and finish at the wrist. There is a frill around the hem and the dress fits tightly over the bust, waist and hips, falling to the knee. This dress coat is in near mint condition.

Joseph Magnin was a department store founded in San Francisco in California. Originally known for it's lower end stock, after WW1 the shop went more upscale and began courting the younger woman’s market. Their advertising became iconic for being glamorous, sophisticated, trendy and youthful. Marilyn Monroe also purchased the suit that she wore for her marriage to Joe DiMaggio in 1954 from the store.
