Pucci 1960's blue skirt and top

An incredible 1960's blue skirt and top set by Pucci. The set is made up of a wrap-over top and mini skirt in blue silk jersey fabric printed with a pink, purple and turquoise floral pattern. The top has a collar and wraps over across the bust, tying with two lengths of fabric around the waist. The long sleeves have a blouson shapes, fastening with two press-studs on each cuff. The skirt has an elasticated waistband and flares out over the hips to the mid thigh. This set is in excellent condition with some signs of wear.

Emilio Pucci’s label was started from one ski suit designed for a female friend to wear on the slopes of Zermatt in 1947. From then on ‘Pucci mania’ exploded through the fashion world with his exciting and exotic prints catching the eye of the new type of woman that he wished to liberate through his clothing. The 1970’s were Pucci’s decade of colour and when he created the brightest of all his prints.
