A fabulous 1970's Guy Laroche blouse and skirt set. The blouse is made from silk and is printed with a floral design in yellow and orange. The blouse has a collar and fastens up the front with eight buttons. An outside pocket sits on each side of the chest, fastening with a button. The sleeves are three-quarter length and have a wide cut with slight padding in the shoulders. A belt in matching printed silk can be tied around the waist. The skirt is made from orange silk and sits on the waist. The waistband is partly elasticated and fastens at the back with a 16cm zip and button. The skirt is fitted on the waist, hugging the hips and falling to just above the knee. This set is in excellent condition.

Guy Laroche started his career in millinery before apprenticing with Jean Dessés and opening his fashion own fashion house in 1957. His first collection reintroduced vibrant colours including pink, orange, coral, topaz and turquoise. Laroche’s clothes featured plunging necks and backs and became known for designing pleated coats and empire line dresses.
Tropical prints have been a big hit on the catwalk so get in on the trend with this fabulous set. The blouse can be worn with cut-off denim shorts for a casual look or wear the skirt with a cotton top and brightly coloured heels.
