This model LS134 suspension light was designed by Italian glass artist Carlo Nason for the Italian company Mazzega in 1969. Carlo Nason is renowned for designing unique lamps, vases, and sculptures using historically traditional techniques. His family is one of the oldest glassblowing families on the island of Murano. The light is composed of interlocking hand-blown Murano glass. The three exterior elements of the light are made of clear "bullicante" (bubble-infused) glass, and the central element is made of white glass. The stem is made of chrome. The light has an organic form.
