Vintage Art Deco Moule à Beurre by Christofle Gallia
This vintage silver-plated moule à beurre was produced by Christofle Gallia. Christofle is a prestigious French flatware and silverware company. Charles Christofle born in 1805, began his profession as a jeweller. His skilled craftsmanship drew the interest of Louis-Philippe I and subsequently Napoleon III. Christofle designed opulent pieces and tableware for French palaces and notable clients. The Christofle company debuted a new type of plate named 'Gallia metal' in 1900, during the Paris Exposition Universelle. An exquisite way to serve butter at a dinner table, which is filled in the hollow compartment. When pressure is applied, the butter seeps through the decorative perforations creating a beautiful motif for presentation. Bring joie de vivre and a touch of elegance to your dining experience.
